Labor Market Trends in Massachusetts Regions
The New England Public Policy Center at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston and Commonwealth Corporation are developing reports that profile eight regional labor markets within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Using the most recent data available, each profile provides a detailed picture of a region’s current and future labor supply, as well as information about labor demand in that region over the past decade. These profiles are designed to help guide workforce development professionals, policy makers, and civic, education, and business leaders as they make decisions about education and training opportunities.
Over the summer and fall of 2012, the findings of each profile will be presented and discussed at a summit hosted in each region. Each region’s profile will become available at this website on its summit date. These summits are open to the public; more information about the events and registration instructions are available at the Commonwealth Corporation’s website.
